Since it’s heading toward the end of Darwin and Lincoln’s birthdays in my time zone I’m just linking to an interesting article in Smithsonian “How Lincoln and Darwin Shaped the Modern World” about the two men who shared a birthday and never met, but both impacted the way the world thought, and thinks.
It’s Okay To Be Smart posted a great overview of the theory of evolution – ’12 Days of Darwin’
Also, really funny and adorable-over at the American Museum of Natural History website they have drawings made by Charles Darwin’s children. On the manuscript for On the Origin of Species. Once he was done with the book, so far as he was concerned it was scrap paper, so researchers think we have his children to thank for what we have. They’re pretty adorable.
